Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership for the Family Based Care (FBC) programme at location.
• Lead the planning, budgeting and implementation of the FBC programme’s action plan.
• Lead the regular monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of the FBC programme’s action plan.
• Ensure the quality of child care at location is within the framework of the SOS child care model.
• Be a guardian and take an active role in the growth, development and education of each SOS child/youth at location.
• Support the SOS families and mothers in working towards the best interest of the children and youth at location.
• Lead and build a motivated performance driven FBC programme staff team at location.
• Participate in developing and maintaining relations with local and international sponsors of the FBC programme at location.
Qualification:
• A minimum of a university degree from a reputable institution.
Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years post work related experience with child/youth care programmes, with 2 years at a supervisory level.
• Experience in planning, budgeting, implementing, monitoring and evaluating programmes.
• Experience in developing and maintaining donor relations.
Skills and Knowledge:
• Planning and organisation skills.
• Representing and networking skills.
• People management skills such as training, coaching and mentoring.
• Written communication skills
• Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Personal Qualities:
