Due to our expansion across the East African region we are looking to recruit a Marketing Manager to be based in Uganda.
Role Responsibilities
- Grow audience and brand awareness through the execution of strong marketing campaigns.
- Implementing existing promotional campaigns i.e outdoor advertising, print campaigns, tv & radio, online advertising in line with ongoing marketing plans for the brand
- Manage the production of promotional and marketing material.
- Ensure the brand identity is consistent with the overall company brand throughout Africa.
- Exploring ways of improving existing products and services and increasing profitability.
- Implementing and providing sales collateral and communication.
- Producing reports to monitor results.
- Grow company's Social Media audience
- Facilitate strong local PR and media mentions
- Build strong distribution alliances and partnerships that grow our audience, competitive advantage and brand awareness
- Monitor advertising spend and budgets and ensure maximum return on investment
- Work closely with peers in the local region and other African countries to ensure adoption of successful marketing strategies, brand consistency and providing regular feedback on activities.
Must have:
- min 2 years experience working in a consumer brand marketing role in a reputed organisation
- must have experience in media buying, agency or consumer brand development
- must have experience in social media management
- must have experience in PR and communications
- strong computer literacy
- strong numeracy and ability to analyse data
- exposure to high growth / start up / technology companies an advantage but not essential
- experience in online marketing, SEM and SEO for corporate accounts an advantage but not essential
- Superior written and verbal communications skills, coupled with highly developed interpersonal skills.
