Job Description:
Main duties and responsibilities:
•Carry out water systems installation, maintenance and repair works.
•Carry out water quality analysis or tests and documentation.
•Trace and analyses causes of water supply problems and makes repairs; reads, interprets and works from engineering drawings.
•Repair and reconnection of broken pipes on the water supply system.
•Repair of blocked drainage pipes and sewer lines.
•Ensure that the waste water plant is operating efficiently.
•Makes periodic inspections of water and waste water systems for safe and efficient operation.
•Ensure that the water and waste water operations meet the compliance standards.
•Draw maintenance schedule for the water and waste water systems.
•Any other official duties assigned by the Supervisor.
Preferred Skills:
Qualifications & Experience:
•A Diploma in Water and Sanitation Engineering from a recognized institution of Learning
•Should have completed Ordinary level of Education (UCE)
•Should have one year’s experience in water or waste water or equivalent completion of industrial training that would provide the knowledge and abilities.
•Must be a committed Christian with high integrity.
